Day 3 June 8th

OK so tonight I made baked chicken, homemade scalloped potatoes, and green beans.

Everyone loved the potatoes.DH wasn't too keen on the chicken. Not enough seasonings on his piece I guess. Mine was awesome. My son ate everything on his plate and my picky daughter didn't like the potatoes.

Tomorrow is something with ground beef. Not sure what yet.

Day 2

Ok so I didnt post last night.

I made pork chops with mushroom soup gravy, mashed potatoes, corn and broccoli and cheese. Now only my son and I ate it. DH refused to eat it and my daughter ate two bites.

I thought it was awesome.

day 1 review

So i made the homemade chicken fried rice. It was kinda bland because I didn't have sesame oil. MY husband LOVED it and prefers I make it homemade from now on. I will buy some sesame oil to keep on hand for when I make it. My son also liked it. My daughter (the picky one) added more soy sauce and said it was pretty good. To me it was kinda bland but overall good. So next time I will try it with sesame oil and see how it goes.

Oh also Hubby thinks using brown rice instead of white rice will make a whole worlds of difference. SO i will be trying this recipe again.

Now as for tomorrow. I have some pork chops thawing. So something with pork chops. I am going to go and look for recipes now.

Day 1

I have decided that since I must make dinner every day that well I need help. I am tired of trying to plan meals and then one or the other doesn't want to eat them. SO I am going to blog about what I made and decide if it will be a keeper. I am always looking for more meal ideas and recipes.

So tonight we will be having chicken I believe. Not sure what I plan to do with the chicken yet. First I must defrost it.. Oh yes the lovely lovely ritual of defrosting the chicken. I am not sure if I want cream of mushroom soup over top of it or if i want to make a chicken fried rice. Of course the chicken fried rice will be with the help of Betty Crocker. Although I could Google chicken fried rice recipes and see which one is easiest to make.

Ok so I have decided. I Googled a chicken fried rice recipe from the internet and I am going to try to make a homemade version of it. I have to tweek the recipe since it calls for eggs and eggs in this house is a no no since my son has an allegery to eggs. I also do not have sesame oil but I have virgin oil so I am going to replace that. We shall see how it goes. I will post after I make it to give a review of it.
